I know that, but I also know we're part of an international community here and some might find it difficult to decipher without a few extra clues.

I leave it to the assembled multitudes - if too much whimsy is disqualifying we should go back to TRIPLING, and if we can allow a smile here and there (in particular, here) then I offer PIG-LATIN, as above.

(...And if everyone is going to tear their hair out over it, or at least twist it into braids, we can use PLAITING instead. But I'd rather take the opportunity to ile-smay.)

I hate to interrupt your conversation with yourself, but I don't believe that's actually a word. I always thought it was LITIGIOUS. If you can tear yourself away from yourself, please let me know what you think! ;0)

Yes, I thought it looked funny too, so I checked around and found that that's also what Onelook.com says.

Then I looked for excuses and rationalizations and found that Google has 92,000 ghits for "litigous" (carefully overlooking the fact that it also has 687,000 ghits for -ious) which gives it some dubious validity.

But really I have to admit that I posted it anyway so as to have the opportunity to use the comeback to your question:
"You're right. I'm wrong. So sue me!"

Well, first off, the reason it has hits is because people can't spell! I got 1,610,000 for "commitee", and it has no dubious validity; it's just a misspelling!

As to your "comeback": ha ha ha At least you're better at being clever than you are at spelling! ;0)
