CALIXTINE

Okay, if we change the X to B we get INCITABLE, like a near-riot

or change the X to M and get MILITANCE, which is North Korea's posture at the moment

but those are both on the forced side. I like better changing X to S, which lets us be
INELASTIC

(extra credit: X -> C is for Leibowitz, almost, if you drop the second I)

Is that a word? I don't find it in OneLook.com or even on Google, except in Spanish or Dutch or trademarked.

Enplastic isn't but it only lacks one tiny change; with some elasticity we can change N to M and the word is allright
EMPLASTIC which offers possibilities.

There is a local office site where they
laminate, and they use it saying:
"Enplastic all your important papers here".
So....
I don't know. Just because they use it does not make it a word.
I checked today and the letter is N after the E: enplastic.

specialty-spectrally.
Eh.. you have changed I for L and and scrambled, which would be all, but you have added an extra R.
Atonement?(or not)

Second I wouldn't mind discussing the issue of whether a word that is used and even written, is not a word even if the dicts.
don't have it. Is it fair compared to words that are not used and still are words.

Thank you all so much, but I'll leave the task to you all.
You are so much better adept than I. If the word does not
pop out at me, I don't take time to rearrange the letters to
suit,it would take time from other pursuits, like study and
crosswords. But I am appreciative.

Yes it does, but don't blame it on the skunk. You jumped from nine letters down to seven, so somewhere up your sleeve there's an E hiding.

I do not believe what I come across either but..
adusted
The Webster 1913 has adust, adusted, adustable and adustion.
Should it be adjusted?
