Google brought up the acronym WOMBAT for "Waste of Money, Brains and Time", IT(?) industry jargon applied to poorly-conceived projects. To call a person [a] wombat is apparently to label them stupid, but I can't say I've ever heard it used like that. Hope someone else can come up with some interesting contributions.
