Read a lot and write a lot. If you are comfortable with it ask for feedback from people who's opinion you respect. Several people over the years have posted short pieces here for feedback especially if they are concerned about grammar. For example I have a suggestion about what you have written above (and I hope you want feedback.) Become a voracious reader by reading everything you can get your hands on. And then put them to use. The more you use them the faster you grasp. The most fun filled way to improve your vocabulary is to play word games. So You learn while you are playing.
