I used the third-icon-from-the-right, the A with the spectrum under it on the Reply screen, to change the color of the text from default black. The grey that is PIGEON was "[ color=#C0C0C0]your selected text here[/color ]", and I seized the opportunity to call that color "pigeon gray".

(The grey that was even lighter is #CCCCCC. The letters represent some variation of the strength of the red/yellow/blue that make up the final color, two hexadecimal characters with values from 0123456789ABCDEF [choose one] for each component.)

You called it pigeon. I wondered why you would not call it CUCKOO grey.
PIGEON The fat wood pigeons combine all those greys.
Picking an few nits on colors.

This color is "#C00C00." Not at all grey, as you can see. I don't know what color cuckoobirds are - too lazy to look it up. I consider them big pushy opportunists, the way they lay their eggs in other birds' nests and knock the (usually smaller) biological fledglings out of the nest after hatching...

Apologies for the "hexadecimal" jargon - that was the reason for the GEEK alert.

I must, however, stick up for the cuckoo: "...the majority of species raise their own young." And even if most of them were brood parasites, that's the way they were created, and they really have no other choice. Some of our human ways are mighty offensive to some animals... :0)

ROSEATE page

Sorry, wolf, but we need to go back to SENATOR. I suggest you get the first shot. How about searching on this thread for new the words before posting? Maybe that would eliminate duplicates...

I suspect it's not the first time. The game's been around long enough that we're bound to get repetition before very long.

My vote would be that as long as the Roolz have been followed we can let it go, with a quiet inward "I would have done it differently/better" if you like, and just move the game along.

(Besides, SENATOR was my offering in the first place. If I changed it, it would be treason.)

This was just a recent word. Seeking for duplicates is madness. Duplicates forgotten by all have never been there.

searching the current page is easy [CTRL-f in most browsers] and could avoid some embarrassment.

And who cares anyhow? New people see new words. Is this fun as mentioned in the forum list, or is this
an academic testing of verbiosity?

I'm going to pass on the obvious HERO and instead swap h for c so I can do some RECON.

and eta - you did spell out the rules, even though they're not Steenkin' Roolz

edit: okay, maybe it wasn't you after all. You might as well take the credit, though.
