There is an interesting story in the Scripture/Torah of Jacob's
wife Rachel stealing her father, Laban's, household gods, and
then feigning illness, to hide them. Confer Genesis 31, especially verses 19 and 34.

The household gods are there ; the rest is camels and such.
But still it is some more elaborate information.
Could even be a descent answer.

Just trying to be respectful and not raise the ire of the
those who, in the beginnings of this forum years ago, would
be less than amused. I taught scripture for 3 decades, I am
aware of the situation, but the topic is the household gods,
not Rachel's indisposition.

I'd say by calling it an illness you're in danger of raising the ire of a lot more people that that (slightly more than half of all people) and then to say that they might be faking it... (^_^)

Glad to oblige: Rachel used the excuse she was in her monthly menstrual cycle, uncomfortable, and would rather not oblige her father.
