1) add a letter OR

AND THEN
4) scramble the new set of letters into a new word.

Melisma is a musical term for singing many notes on one syllable. An example would be chant or "Amen".

MELISMA - think of the word "purify" in "And He Shall Purify" from Handel's Messiah, or the word "born" from "For Unto Us a Child is Born," or "easy" in "His Yoke is Easy," or "turned" from "All We, Like Sheep."
