Just focus on making one change, and the scrambling (reordering) of the letters does not count as the change, only the addition or deletion or swap does.

Thanks , I think that's how I probably always understood it. Sorry to say my computer turned into a pinball machine. Please keep the game going. Next week there will be serious repears.
(Help, it's got a life of it's own!)

ABDOMEN ---Two more minutes granted obviously

...and afterward you UNDRESS.

(Is there some pull toward seven-letter-words? These last seven have all been Bingoes. No fifty-point-extra-bonus for us Virtual Players, unfortunately.)

On the assumption that only one change was made - change O to U - and scramble (I think that's what we've consensused the transformation should be) I now remove the second T and make something SUBTLER.

And on the grounds that butler really has only one 't' anyway I'll simply scramble it again to BUTLERS which is where we should have been after our TROUBLES.

I think hustled to whistled is two changes isn't it, a substitution and an addition? HUSTLED + W - I + U = WHISTLED

I suggest instead SHUTTLED.

Yes, I see that now .I unintentionally defied The Rules. Blame shame sorry blush. Skip whistle.

Uh, CoffeeBean, my dictionary only gives tousle with one s. ( to treat roughly) Is there another toussle and what does it mean?

So twosleepy, DUTCHESS inevitably! And any time now computer brake down can make this game DUTCHLESS.

In my neighborhood there used to be a bunch of "TOUCHLESS Car Washes." [change D to O]

(And J&J made OUCHLESS Band-Aids...) [delete T]

afterthought: If we discipline ourseves to define the changes, we'll have less to cavil about regarding observing/flouting the Roolz...

Ouch! What a word! Can you also get us out this dead-end-street-of-a-word again, The inFallible?
Yes Wofahu, it's clear and also a good self-check to tell what was done. But how will the last one be undone?

SLOUCHIEST

Replace L with N and rearrange to get

Guess not. At this point I realize it's a wordgame in a foreign language. I see my limit. I've really been putting effort to it. Over eight letters I loose
track.

I think Fallible roolz! Sheesh! I wasn't even gonna try to make something from "slouchiest" (but of course, I did try...) and I gave up after a bit. And there he goes and pulls one out of his euphemism... Aaaargh!

And Bran, you made an error that people who speak English from birth make all the time: lose vs. loose. You meant "lose" (not to win, or to misplace) rather than "loose" (to set free, to give slack). They are pronounced differently, also, although apparently many people think they are homonyms. They are not! At least you have a good excuse! :0)

...change one H to a U and rearrange to get

Now somebody tell me why that's a perfectly acceptable term, but S#!+HOUSE had to be disguised to avoid the Gutter Police...?

It's quite simple. British class system. The good old anglo-saxon terms for things, like SH*T became associated with the vulgar, English speaking peasants, whilst the French and Latin terms for various bodily functions (such as faeces) were quite acceptable because that's what the upper crust said.

Ach, towspleepy, (sorry , this typo is a gift, I keep it, please don't shoot) I lose and loose simultaneously. I'm cut loose mostly by this my rebellious computer. I have to wait for my troubleshooting nephew, who has developped an unwelcome passion for Opera and is always off on mini trips to the the mayor Opera Houses of Europe. Fierce bad habit!!!!
