"execute." Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary. 2008.Merriam-Webster Online. 30 October 2008<http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/execute>

ex·e·cute
Pronunciation: \ˈek-si-ˌkyüt\
1. to carry out fully...to make or produce
2.to put to death

pretty sure that's sufficiently contradictory
as in: ''Execute the plan!" vs. "Execute him!"

Hi, mcfad, and welcome aBoard. I can agree with this in the same way I agreed with yesterday's word asperse: one meaning is "good" while the other is "bad".

When I was very young, I assumed that pepper was the opposite of salt. Then one morning, I put too much salt on my eggs and tried to fix it by adding a lot of pepper... very different and opposite are not the same.
