Teddy stranger Teddy stranger Joined: Aug 2008 Posts: 3 Washington, D.C. I was wondering what the root of these words are; I understand Occidental means "Western" and Oriental means "Eastern". However, I saw them associated with two mountain ranges - both parallel and within proximity to each other.
