I like Dale's as a resume and Myridon's as a script. My one change to the script would be to say My mother is a teacher. She has always been supportive (or a positive influence.) "from an early age" technically would mean the mother's early age and informally it sounds slightly amusing as it implies that the mother waited a few years before becoming supportive.
