Mygrey hair comes being Irish-- and as one friend said-- all of the irish are
pigment challenged--challenged being the PC way to talk about it. We have very little pigment in our skin-- and have trouble keeping it in our hair!

My grey hair? did i forget to mention I am a natural blond! last i checked, most hair dyes uses organic compounds like ammonia and water and oxygen to dye hair-- so who is to say its not natural?

Obviously Max-- you must be part Irish!

5/8ths, though the only real evidence is my height, inherited from leprechauns, methinks.

and your grey hair!

as for height-- do a positive re-frame-- do your feet reach the floor? Well, then you're fine! If you measure from the top down, and make sure your feet reach the floor-- well what difference where you started? But if your feet didn't reach the floor--sure that could be a problem!

my father is 5' 1", and my mother 5' 2"-- at 5' 5" i am the tallest of all my siblings.
Once as i slipped into the last available seat in a movie theater, the "gentleman" behind me, exclaimed, Oh good-- someone short!-- I turn around and informed him i was not short-- (and i don't think i am, even as i admit I am not tall.. )

I'm sure that this thread demonstrates our total commitment to the subject of words
So am I [anirony feigning emoticon]. - But a total commitment need not be an exclusive commitment. Words are with us like our shadows. We need them even to wander off-thread.

Well, not quite true, since they are responsible for writing the briefs-- even if they do it on someone elses behalf-- but are they brief?
In US briefs! can run hundreds of pages--and be anything but brief!

(every time i type the word brief--its seems weirder and weirder-- i have to go look it up and learn something about it)

satin/Satin-------Jazz's post brought up some very interesting questions. I was wondering the same things when I read the initial question and answer of 2000 poster child. Which also brings to mind-----the fabric is smooth and silky and the name is also smooth and silky (at first)

Thanks Rhu for the nice things said to Jazz. I, for one, did not read any further posts and responded to Jazz's beautiful post. And then, after posting, read more posts-----What a sucker I am? No wonder my teenagers think I'm so stupid. Satin/Satan ---why did't I see this? But then again-------think about it----it is a disguise and Jazz could still come out on top!!!! Jazz, with me around, I will take the "hits" for you.

Brief------What an interesting chain of events. from "Anu-he answered me----to----satin/Satin/Satan----to----silks----to----Briefs (hmm I could add more silk to this one) but I think I will add-----another type:
Brief---------in German/Deutsch Brief means letter. So hence, whether it a letter is long or short, it is still a "Brief".
