Boy, am I out of it. I read this term in an article, and, having never heard of it, Googled it. Not only is it apparently widespread, it has been around long enough to have developed an array of styles, and its own Society and slang as well. KRUMP - Kingdom Radically Uplifted Mighty Praise.
Krumping has been in 'little ol NZ' for about 2 years now.
It is a popular form of expression amongst young Maori and Pacific Island Youth. I'd describe it as a 'Technical Tantrum'. Frequent competitions are held amongst youngsters to determine who will be the Krump Kings.
