does anyone here know where 'moonyean' comes from? Moonyean is the name of my neighbour, she was told her name is 'celtic', tho when she goes to celtic sites to find the origin of her name she has no response.

Yean is a verb meaning to give birth, said of sheep and goats.

While not definitive, here's a little history on the name Moonyean [link].
