Arte Johnson - named for the actor on Rowan and Martin's Laugh-in, a comedy show from the '70s. He played the dirty old man and the german soldier, but the one that earned him his eponym is the one in which he rode a tricycle while wearing a raincoat and would run into something and fall over. Many cyclists call a crash, especially a single vehicle one, an Arte Johnson. It is especially suitable for those, like me, who are well into our second childhoods and have gone back to riding trikes. http://www.ice.hpv.co.uk/

Funny. The most memorable character (for me) that Arte Johnson portrayed was "The Dirty Old Man" with Ruth Buzzy as his Nemesis!
