My late Grandpa Grider always told me to never try to explain my behavior to a woman who wrongly believes that I have disrespected her.

"Just bring her roses, or buy her whiskey, or build her a chicken coop; whichever she wants," Grandpa said. "And then sit back and hope for the best".

Grandpa Grider was a smart man.
