Another word question:

I just got back from Hawaii. I heard an word while I was over there for the spray or mist generated by surf, which in Hawaii, as everyone knows, can be very heavy; sometimes this "wave spray" even affects driving visibility and is mentioned in the weather report.

I have forgotten the term, and it's bothering me.

Does anyone know?
