I have a question about the vocabulary of incongruence. "Anachronism," of course, designates a thing out of its proper time (e.g., the scientific study of alchemy in the 21st century), and the lesser-used "anachorism" designates a thing out of its proper place or country (e.g., an Italian football jersey worn in Paris). Does anyone know of a word designating a thing out of its proper climate (e.g., a polar bear in the San Diego Zoo)?
"Anachorism" would obviously be a hypernym of such a word, but I wonder whether there is a word that focuses upon an incongruence of climate or ecosystem specifically rather than upon an incongruence of place more generally.
