I'd like to recommend a book about words (maybe you know it, maybe it was discussed, anyway...)

TROUBLESOME WORDS by BILL BRYSON (Penguin Books 2001)

I found it useful. For example it clarified the differnce between
ALBUMIN and ALBUMEN.

Thanks, miros. I have that book, and recommend it, as I do everything Bill Bryson has so far published!
