Lady
Lady, when you're with me I'm smiling Give me all your love Your hands build me up when I'm sinking Touch me and my troubles all fade Lady, from the moment I saw you Standing all alone You gave all the love that I needed So shy, like a child who has grown
'Cause you're my lady of the morning Love shines in your eyes Sparkling, clear, and lovely You're my lady

You're in luck, your cute Styx song reminded me of an early Ray Charles song forgotten by time and his movie. Guess it and win a kiss. _______________________________________________ Well you've heard my song (I want to know)And my song is true (I want to know)But just remember, baby (I want to knowI'm depending on you (I want to know)'cause I want to know (I want to know)I want to know right now (I want to know)Will you stand by me? Sorry girls, you lose, etaoin is johnny-on-the-spot with the correct answer.
Doesn't surprize, that etaoin has got a head on his shoulders like a glass of beer which is exactly what will be waiting on him free-on-board at Faunsdale Cajun Bar and grill, open at 3:00 in the morning during deer season.
Congratulations, etaoin.

Happy to oblige, Kelly123 My great Uncle Kenny would argue with himself long and loud about who had more panache, the upstart Ink Spots or the Brothers Mills. Across the alley from the Alamo Lived a pinto pony and a Navajo Who sang a sort of Indian "Hi-de-ho" To the people passin' by The pinto spent his time a-swishin' flies And the Navajo watched the lazy skies And very rarely did they ever rest their eyes On the people passin' by One day, they went a walkin' along the railroad track They were swishin' not a-lookin' Toot! Toot!, they never came back Oh, across the alley from the Alamo When the summer sun decides to settle low A fly sings an Indian "Hi-de-ho" To the people passing by. Actually, The Mills Brothers were neck and neck with The Ink Spots now that you mention it.....and now for something completely different:

Say, Kelly123, will you kindly explain to the out-group what Frank Zappa meant in concocting the strange lyrics you posted above? Thanks. There were bells on a hill But I never heard them ringing No I never heard them at all 'Til there was you There were birds in the sky But I never saw them winging No I never saw them at all 'Til there was you Then there was music And wonderful rosesThey tell me in sweet fragrant Meadows of dawn and dew There was love all around But I never heard it singing No I never heard it at all 'Til there was you ANITA BRYANT singing "Til There Was You" (written by Meredith Willson)

...will you explain to the out-group what Frank Zappa meant in concocting... Yeah, that'll happen. ******* Dig if u will the picture Of u and I engaged in a kiss The sweat of your body covers me Can u my darling Can u picture this? Dream if u can a courtyard An ocean of violets in bloom Animals strike curious poses They feel the heat The heat between me and u <refrain> How can u just leave me standing? Alone in a world that's so cold? (So cold) Maybe I'm just 2 demanding Maybe I'm just like my father 2 bold Maybe you're just like my mother She's never satisfied (She's never satisfied) Why do we scream at each other This is what it sounds like When doves cry Touch if u will my stomach Feel how it trembles inside You've got the butterflies all tied up Don't make me chase u Even doves have pride <refrain>, etc. When Doves Cry - The artist currently known as "Prince". (My apologies for the cut and pasting that retained the "u" for the word "you". I'm sure yule survive.)

Movin’ to the country, Gonna eat a lot of peaches
Peaches come from a can, They were put there by a man In a factory downtown If I had my little way, I’d eat peaches every day Sun-soakin’ bulges in the shade
Take a little naps where the roots all twist Squished a rotten peach in my fist And dreamed about you, woman, I poked my finger down inside Make a little room for it to hide Nature’s candy in my hand or can or a pie
Millions of peaches, peaches for me Millions of peaches, peaches for free
Look out!

Just a town like any other a second brand new start A third or fourth hand wife or lover no, you won't break her heart Take some bacon go on and leave your watch chain She won't count on nothing more Wrap your hands around that small change and tiptoe barefoot out the door
Yes, something's wrong that restless feeling's been preying on my mind When things get bad I'm bound to pack my bags and just Leave them all behind

Said Red Molly to James "That's a fine motorbike A girl could feel special on any such like" Said James to Red Molly, "Well my hat's off to you It's a Vincent Black Lightning, 1952And I've seen you at the corners and cafes it seems Red hair and black leather, my favorite color scheme" And he pulled her on behind And down to Box Hill they did ride "1952 Vincent Black Lightning" Richard Thompson

(What, Consuelo? I thought Van Morrison died in England of a drug overdose about a year after he recorded "Light My Fire" )I was down at the New Amsterdam staring at this yellow-haired girl Mr. Jones strikes up a conversation with this black-haired flamenco dancer She dances while his father plays guitar She's suddenly beautiful We all want something beautiful I wish I was beautiful So come dance this silence down through the morning Cut Maria! Show me some of them Spanish dances Pass me a bottle, Mr. Jones Believe in me Help me believe in anything I want to be someone who believes Mr. Jones and me, tell each other fairy tales Stare at the beautiful women "She's looking at you. Ah, no, no, she's looking at me." Smiling in the bright lights Coming through in stereo When everybody loves you, you can never be lonelyI will paint my picture Paint myself in blue and red and black and gray All of the beautiful colors are very very meaningful Grey is my favorite colorI felt so symbolic yesterday If I knew Picasso I would buy myself a gray guitar and play Mr. Jones and me look into the future Stare at the beautiful women "She's looking at you. Uh, I don't think so. She's looking at me." Standing in the spotlight I bought myself a gray guitar When everybody loves me, I will never be lonelyI want to be a lion Everybody wants to pass as cats We all want to be big big stars, but we got different reasons for that Believe in me, because I don't believe in anything, and I want to be someone, to believe, to believe... Mr. Jones and me stumbling through the barrio Yeah we stare at the beautiful women "She's perfect for you, Man, there's got to be somebody for me." I want to be Bob Dylan Mr. Jones wishes he was someone just a little more funky When everybody loves you, son, that's just about as funky as you can beMr. Jones and me, staring at the video When I look at the television, I want to see me staring right back at me We all want to be big stars, but we don't know why and we don't know how But when everybody loves me, I'm going to be just about as happy as can be Mr. Jones and me, we're gonna be big stars.. Mr. Jones ________ Counting Crows( Sorry about the length of this song, Consue, I just couldn't cut it. )

Me and Mrs. Jones, we got a thing going on, We both know that it's wrong But it's much too strong to let it cool down now. We meet ev'ry day at the same cafe, Six-thirty I know she'll be there, Holding hands, making all kinds of plans While the jukebox plays our favorite song. Me and Mrs., Mrs. Jones, Mrs. Jones, Mrs. Jones, Mrs. Jones got a thing going on, Me and Mrs. Jones~Billy Paul I'm sure you meant Jim Morrison , Milo. Here's what Van Morrison's up to.

PIANO MAN
It's nine o' clock on a saturday The regular crowd shuffles in There's an old man sitting next to me Makin' love to his tonic and gin. He says, "Son can you play me a memory? I'm not really sure how it goes, But it's sad and it's sweet And I knew it complete When I wore a younger man's clothes"
Sing us a song you're the piano man, Sing us a song tonight. Well, we're all in the mood for a melody. And you've got us feelin' alright.

One thing, I don't know why It doesn't even matter how hard you try, keep that in mind I designed this rhyme, to explain in due time I tried so hard In spite of the way you were mocking me Acting like I was part of your property Remembering all the times you fought with me I'm surprised it got so (far) Things aren't the way they were before You wouldn't even recognize me anymore Not that you knew me back then But it all comes back to me (in the end) You kept everything inside and even though I tried, it all fell apart What it meant to me will eventually be a memory of a time when
I tried so hard And got so far But in the end It doesn't even matter I had to fall To lose it all But in the end It doesn't even matter...

You turned me into an emotional prisoner You hit me with words that cut to the bone Then you kissed me and made me believe that I needed you And think I could never survive on my own
Never thought that I would break away Now I see right through your power play And I don't feel so helpless after all
Loving you was an endless fight I was wrong and you were always right But look what happened when I called your bluff When the truth comes out you ain't so tough

I guess it was when my old lady left me and she took off with a salesman guy I started to see things so differently, cut your own slice out of the pie Yeah I grew up and it came clear to me all the smart cops on the make You get a silver badge not an old tin star when you're on the take It's pimps and whores, punk gang wars, robberies and homicides When you walk the beat with the creeps on the street, well there ain't no way to hide

All is well. No problem. Try this.
"And the line was drawn for another showdown Like they'd always seen and done And one mans night for a drunken old time Left a scar on another one
Going out for a night on the town Going out to the smoke and trees Going out for a night on the town Going out for a look and see Said do what your daddy told you Well I just went out and did that Van and Willie went out one night."

Grandpappy told my pappy, back in my day, son A man had to answer for the wicked that he done Take all the rope in Texas Find a tall oak tree, round up all of them bad boys Hang them high in the street for all the people to see, that...
Justice is the one thing you should always find You got to saddle up your boys You got to draw a hard line When the gun smoke settles we'll sing a victory tune Then we'll all meet back at the local saloon We'll raise up our glasses against evil forces Singing whiskey for my men, beer for my horses

Gunsmoke trail. Oh tell me of days gone by. Tho' alone you still wind your way? Are the ghostly horsemen riding, As they speed eastern mail? It's up to you see them through Gunsmoke trail.
The Gunsmoke has now faded from the blazing forty-fours! The stage coach is rustin' on the hill. The wagon wheels you used to feel, will sing their song no more! The sound of the caravan is still! Gunsmoke trail.
No trav'ler to care where you go, Sands of time are hidin' your way! Bet if heaven ever let you You could tell a rugged tale! That's why I hate to see you fade. Gunsmoke trail. Gunsmoke trail.

Shades of night are falling As the wind be-gins to sigh And the world's silhou-etted a-gainst the sky.
Blue Shadows on the Trail Blue moon shinin' through the trees. And a plain--tiff wail--- from the distance Comes a driftin' on the evening breeze.
Move a-long, Blue Shadows, move a-long Soon the dawn will come and you'll be on your way

Down on the corner, out in the street, Willy and the poorboys are playin’; Bring a nickel; tap your feet.
Rooster hits the washboard and people just got to smile, Blinky, thumps the gut bass and solos for a while. Poorboy twangs the rhythm out on his kalamazoo. Willy goes into a dance and doubles on kazoo.

Chuck wrote and recorded "What Am I Living For?" and "I Don't Want To Hang Up My Rock and Roll Shoes" in 1957 and then died before both songs rose to near the top of the charts. He also wrote this song but I can't remember all the words...yet. (spoken) You know girls, I know you get tired of that man of yours coming home in dirty clothes, and smelling like cheap stale beer, and I know that sometimes you'd like to throw him out and get somebody new, But let me tell you... (sung) If you think that nobody wants him Just put him out in the streets and you will see Some woman will have your man, Before you can count, one, two, three.<<<CHUCK WILLIS>>>

You might be a rock 'n' roll addict prancing on the stage, You might have drugs at your command, women in a cage, You may be a business man or some high degree thief, They may call you Doctor or they may call you Chief
But you're gonna have to serve somebody , yes indeed You're gonna have to serve somebody, Well, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord But you're gonna have to serve somebody.
