Can anyone tell me exactly how to play this word game, or point me to a site with the rules?

gosh anna, as a well-established OP, that looks to me like a gen-u-wine senior moment you had just then; if you *should manage to find me in the back room at the Museum (doubtful, but it's the room marked "hosed area"), I'll explain the whole sordid process for you. btw, the picture on the left is the real McCoy, Bob. (you know, jo; bob's your uncle.)

gosharoonie, tsuwm,
I've been there ['empathy' emoticon] -- though never in the hosed area, I hasten to add -- which is why it was the first place I searched for you. For some reason I can remember my experiences of 2 years ago with Uncle Bob much better than a post I made in here 6 months ago

(you couldn't let this thread die gracefully, could you? At least we know it's the *real tsuwm posting... hehehe)

Whoa! Wherever in the world you are, Tsuwm, that was a good
one. And--um--I really don't want to know about your sex.

You're either going to read them to me or you're trying to ensure that I get run over the first time I cross the street when I'm next in the States. Which is it then?

Oh, very neighbourly of you, pardner!

once again the people at The Maven's word of the day have been listening in, as today they tackle that most empirical of expressions...

well (of course) I woulduv, but I hesitates to do so with this site because tomorrow it would be no gud (tomorrow is another day and "today's word" wouldn't be today's word anymore, now wud it?); soooooooo, there's sum options: you could google "Maven's word day" or sum such or you could take the link from my home page, except I haven't updated it and it still reads "Random word of the day" (I think) so (in the immortal words of wow [WoW] (I knew there'd be someone who couldn't resist posting the grad-stats yet again)) what da hell http://www.randomhouse.com/wotd/...

and now we have circumstantial evidence of this, as Wendalyn (tonight's chat guest) would appear to be one of these selfsame Mavens.
