Ah, if only I could get some people here in Montréal to understand the proper use of hyphens.

I don't know why it bugs me so.

There's this one client in particular that has trouble with the concept. When I read their adverstising, advisory letters, or any other written form of communication, I always wish they'd have a go-to person to correct their stuff.

I know the company is French but they deal with a lot of English manufacturers and many of their retail clients in Montréal are English, so you'd think they'd try to get it right. It's their image they are playing with.

(oops, bit of a rant there. I think it's because it's not just the hyphens they have problems with. Sometimes, words are spelled incorrectly and phrases are written with the wrong beat.)
