In a day or three we'll have finished dusting off the gravel and I want to take the next turn as Hogmaster...Watch This Space!

Excellent word. I know it well. I have but two questions:

Are all the letters in caps for a reason?
Does it have anything to do with the University of Maine at Miami?
If I turn "UMAMI" upside down how can I make an upside down "U" on my computer?

Thank you. You are the best.

It's all in uppercase to conceal properness or commonness or acronymity, soasto promote freer reign of imagination in proposing red herrings.

Oh how to define this umami?
It might be some kind of salami
But I haven't a clue
So what I must do
Is call home to ask my dear mommy

Alex, you're good. Now have you ever tried a double dactyl? We have some around here we did a couple years ago. If you decide to try your hand, start a new thread. You might inspire me to perpetrate one my own self.

Oh, and Unca Woofy, daffy on its way.

Not halfbad, Alex, but maybe you should decorate your sing-songee ever-so-scanable verse with a showy latinate kicker. It's easy!

Puning with latin is easy as Pi
Plurals are made by just adding an "I"
As most of us do
Let's say you got two
More than one of you mom is umomi

See?

Now now snoot darling, you well know that it takes two mommies to teach good manners to little redneck boys in the South. Up north it takes a village to make young'ens polite but most of you'ens ain't, even though up North the villages are a'plenty with people.

Now why don't you be a good little snoot and go back into your sock drawer and wait patiently until the next flame war begins and gives purpose to your life and your base tongue.
