WW has just finished its regular housekeeping and now it won't let me back in unless I register my domain name, but for the life of me I don't know what they want. For no matter what I enter in this block they don't accept it

This is the first time I've encountered the term, and if the friendly WS'er should happen to know, how long has it been around; can I assume it's a neologism

I collect them

Of course I immediately went to Wikipedia, where I got a half dozen different definitions, none of which rang a bell and being written with dozens of obscure abbreviations in Bill Gates Language, none did I entirely understand

Whatever a domain name is, one is expected to have as many of 200 of them, adding to my perplexity about what they might be. I don't have 200 of anything.

I'm somewhat inexperienced in this realm, however, having only a journ and not an engineering degree and only about 40 years in electronics and tech writing, 17 years experience with DOS (I think it was called), Windows, Word, etc

Somewhere I have a password; (either zsQtyT or HBgexi) I know what a domain is. I know what a word is, and a nickname. And a URL, (though that means different things to different people) I know what an address is (isn't it part of a URL?). But evidently I don't know what a domain name is

If I have 200 of them, is there somewhere I can go on the Internet to see them all or does it entail the application of a difficult algorithm yet unwritten

Forgive an old, helpless non-geek. But if I have 200 of them, could someone guess what mine is most likely to be

I am dalehileman, DAle Hileman (Without my permission for some reason Bill Gates often insists on capitalizing the A; does that make it a 'domain name"?) DaleHileman, Dale Hileman, dalehileman@verizon.net (If this is a complex issue, and if you have the patience, please write me)

But I don't know what my domain name is. Don't respond all at once, and don't use a lot of technical language because I have only about 15-20 years left

A note to Jackie and to Admin or whatever you call yourself: If you should some day decide to revamp WS, please do it gradually and not all at once

Yet thank you for WS--easy for the inexpert to use and friendly to the ignorant (me)--and thanks to everybody for such patient past and present participation
