Great list, etaon, except for "surreal". I find "surreal" useful even if overused and have found no suitable replacement.
Why can't they ban "issue"?

"git-er-done?" ...I heard it on a song somewhere, never really got the meaning of it (nor my dictionaries!).

My vote for top of the list is "banished words and phrases." My favorite incarnation of "git-er-done" was on a pink camo baseball cap with a confederate battle flag.

I'm reminded of a Beetle Bailey strip:
Beetle and Sarge were coming out of the PX.
Beetle: Did you see all those guys in there wearing camo?
Sarge: Yeah.
Beetle: Doesn't work, does it?
But my all time favorite is high-vis orange camo.

Some years ago we had record snowfall here - 200 inches in Sault Ste Marie, Michigan - and the government brought in the National Guard to clear snow (or, as David and I laughed, to shoot the snow). They had these honkin' big snowblowers that could (and in one instance, did) suck in a small car and spit it out chewed to bits.
They were painted camo.
It was only much later that we realized these machines are used for deforestation in places like South America.
I wish people would stop saying "issue" when they mean "problem". My sister once said that one of our brother's dogs had "territory issues". Dogs don't have issues - they have territory. If you overstep the bounds, you will not have an issue, you will have a problem.

I'm not sure I should reveal that I know this. Larry the cable guy He works with the "You might be a redneck if..." guy. I'm not a fan of either of these guys or their other "comic" friends. I'm more of a Laural & Hardy, Mark brothers guy.

I love Larry the Cable guy (and i totally support his right to bare arms!)
I didn't put the phrase together with him precisely, but did sort of recognize it being from the show "blue collar TV" --my favorite segment? the "blue collar Back yard photo's" --i am tempted to get my camera and submit yards i know.

There's a gun shop in my town named " - Bear Arms", named after the poor Bruno that was shot dead by the DEM. The adolescent male was innocently chowing down on a goat who was left tied to a tree in some idiot's backyard.

I vote for "literally" wherever it's used to mean "figuratively"
"arguably" used to mean "inarguably"
