In theory it's where the occasional newbie poster could put their thoughts when prompted by the sort of tagline that Anu's running this week. Trouble is, a newcomer doesn't know their way around so tends to post a bit more randomly... and we, being a bunch of anarchists, united in nothing but a love of language, tend to avoid talking about Anu's current postings much at all ~ isn't that wicked?!

Mav, thanks. But watch out with the tilde (~). While WS is much more liberal than other similar sites, in one such, nicknamed the "mutual recimination society," I was berated, torn limb from limb, and threatened with banning if I were to use it just once more
