Why, you're describing us!

No clue, Dale. I've never heard it before.

Sounds to me like someone just adding their own username into Urban Dictionary.

myridon: n. 1) Untrusting disbeliever. 2) Poster who makes up definitions for own username.

I must here make a confession: I've been reading 'Myridon' as myrmidon, which is of course just another minion.

big chopper Good gracious--I've been thinking it was something else altogether!

myridon: n. 1) Untrusting disbeliever. 2) Poster who makes up definitions for own username. Ah HAH--you have outed yourself, sir!

Dang it, Dale--to my great disappointment, scratcher is not listed at Buzzwhack.

Jackie, thank you, that's probably because the meaning hasn't become very widespread. UrbanDict sometimes strikes out in that respect, where further Googling is needed to confirm a usage

Thus Myr's observation could have nailed it

Personally I love an old bobber but the chopper discussion reminds me of "Pulp Fiction":

Fabienne: Whose motorcycle is this?
Butch: It's a chopper, baby.
Fabienne: Whose chopper is this?
Butch: It's Zed's.
Fabienne: Who's Zed?
Butch: Zed's dead, baby. Zed's dead.
