here's a strange query I got from a subscriber today:In reply to:[years ago] an item appeared in ""Ripley's Believe It Or Not" in the newspaper:
" _____________is the only word in the English language accented equally on both syllables." For years I have tried to remember it.
Allegedly helpful friends have sent hundreds of words like 'schoolhouse' and 'sandbag' which of course are wrong.any ideas?
