We have discovered that, when one selects or changes one's avatar on the new board, it is added to/changed on every entry one has ever made. Thus, if one changes one's avatar, and a former post makes reference to the old one, the reference will not (necessarily) make sense. There seems to be no way to track the number of mutations through which any one member's avatar passes.
Take, f'rexample, Whitman O'Neill. David has been, thus far, represented on the board by a photograph of Walt Whitman, by another of Eugene O'Neill, by a most fetching picture of Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, and, today, by Charlie Brown in the Pumpkin Patch from either a book or CD cover.
What will represent him tomorrow? And, given that the board program does not make an historical record of avatars employed, who will track the visual history of Whitman O'Neill's appearances on this board? Mayhaps we need a board historiographer. Not it!

Well originally, I was just planning to fluctuate between pictures of Whitman and O'Neill. But I couldn't resist the holiday thing. So, I guess if I perish at Halloween or Christmas you guys'll just have to set the record straight.
