From the back of a 1969 Penguin edition of Roget's Thesaurus:

"These are features of the new and enlarged edition of Roget's Thesaurus, which has been specially abridged for this Penguin edition."

Makes you wonder why they couldn't just use the original one...

I can't help but wonder if the enlarged abridged thesaurus was bound in genuine imitation leather.

I thought an enlarged abridged thesaurus was an 'enchancement aid' for nerds.
