Inspired by an Email in AWADmail issue 171, here is a round of Gargomancy. I have selected three frequent AWAD board posters, and using their birthdates, have assembled a list of AWAD words from each poster's birthday anniversary. The object is to guess the identity of the poster from the attributes suggested by these words. No peeking at the archives!

POSTER #1:
calefacient
endgame
stripling
tawny
orrery
tete-beche
morganatic
commove
vilipend

POSTER #2:
chaparral
euphemism
furl
wattle
topiary
bedlam
will-o-the-wisp
utile
poltroon

POSTER #3:
paralipsis
bushwa
papilionaceous
philography
Jim Crow
phonetic
Augustan
pour parler
concupiscence
coloratura

I'm going to guess POSTER #3 is.. me; based on the fact that I use the word 'bushwa' quite often, in the wild.

Yeah, tsuwm, and your phonetic coloratura arias are always a hit in Jim Crow land.

Fess up, tsuwm; it was "concupiscence" which called to you.

But no, Poster #3 isn't tsuwm.

Some clues:

POSTER #1: has a special connection to one of the terms

POSTER #2: probably likes to be down on the farm

POSTER #3: has a hobby kind of like philography

This is a great game, but I'm going to have to just sit back and watch: I hardly know any of the words.

Just a wild guess - I think Poster #3 is Father Steve. "Jim Crow" describes a group of racist legislations, does it not, and our Father Steve is also in the law, although hardly racist. I suppose writing judements could be similar to philography in a twisted way....

Well, I think we can put the theory underlying gargomancy to bed. To tuck in the sheets, the posters were:

Poster #1: BelMarduk
Poster #2: etaoin
Poster #3: Fiberbabe

Just check I got this right - these words were not *used by the posters, but rather culled from AWAD archives from dates coincident with anniversaries of the target's arrival here?
