Tut tutt, etaoin.

Plutarch has made it perfectly clear, on repeated occasions, that he does not wish to participate in an exchange of insults with anyone.

That certainly sounds like a laudable ambition to me, and to you as well, I must assume, because you are opposed to iggrifiers who disrupt the peace of the Board.

Obviously, it will not be possible for anyone to trace back every iggrification that has ever occurred around here [going back years in some cases] to discover who iggrified first, and which iggrification resulted in which retaliatory iggrification.

Therefore, it makes sense, I hope you will agree, that we start a new day.

If past disputants, whether you or Plutarch or anyone else, are truly serious about making peace in the best interests of the AWADtalk community at large, then it makes sense for everyone to lay down their arms, and turn their swords into ploughshares, so to speak.

Of course, there will be some who do not wish to make peace. There will be some who cannot put the past behind. That is perhaps inevitable.

But let's not diggrify anyone who chooses continued animosities and provocations over peace by confusing them with genuine peacemakers.

Anyone who hurls an insult or innuendo at anyone else without just cause from this day forward is an "iggrifier". Those who demonstrate the maturity to refrain from insults and other provocations in the best intersts of the Board at large are not "iggrifiers", that is, they are "un-iggrifiers" or "non-iggrifiers".

This makes it very easy for everyone, in particular, for newcomers, to keep score, etaoin. I hope you will agree.

Obviously, newcomers cannot possibly know who started which iggrification first, however many weeks or months or years ago the first iggrification in the chain occurred. Nor is it fair to saddle newcomers with that burden.

It is enough for them to see who is iggrifying now, and who is not.

I hope you will agree.
