The double adjective: This is the double use of an adjective to emphasise the point. Such as : "The black black man had thin thin arms." I think this is an Urdu device which translates into English.

Interesting. There was nothing on that page that I could not understand, with only my rudimentary grasp of Hindi. It does show that at the everyday level, "hindustani" is alive and well. If you come across any links that highlight differences between the various vflavours of desi English, do let me know, mav-ji!
