Today's buzzwhack buzzword is "oranging up", which buzzwhack defines as

A sign that the weather is getting warmer. It’s when the USA Today weather map
turns from cool blues and greens to warm yellows, oranges and reds.

http://www.buzzwhack.com

Silly me. When I started reading the definition, I immediately completed it as

A sign that the weather is getting warmer. It’s when all the orange barrels and cones pop up on the roads as we seque directly from winter into construction season.

or

A sign that the weather is getting warmer. It’s when all the beach bunny wanna-bes slather themselves with artificial tanner.

Well, you exhausted all the possibilites, didn't you, Sparteye.

Since I moved to the North I have learned there are two seasons here: winter and road repair.

No, I didn't ... I'm sure there are more coming from this creative group.

Here's one, to be appreciated by the denizens of Syracuse:

Oranging up: When the university fans paint themselves in preparation for the night's game.

oranging up : making the color of (part of) a post nearly unreadable in an obvious attempt to be cute.

-ron o.

or,
oranging up : messing up the scansion of a poem in a futile attempt to make a clever rhyme; to wit:
to make a rhyme of sil-
ver or other rhymeless rhyme
requires only will,
verbosity, and time

"or other rhymeless rhyme" of which the most famous in the English language is, perhaps, orange.
