A while back there was a word on A Word A Day for the practice of bouncing a child upon one's knee. I can't remember what it was even with enough clarity to look it up myself, I'm wondering if someone out there can help me.

Thank you, that's what I thought too then I looked at the AWAD word list and couldn't find it. Now I've also looked it up in my dictionary and confirmed it.
