I didn't quite understand one thing though - the second link said:
Syzygy (n.) The immovable union of two joints of a crinoidal arm.
So that may be where I picked up the jawbone idea... or not...
~ but how does this crinoidal thingy relate to the armless little critter of Dr Bill's definition?
