good one, Bridget; but note that prize had already been taken from the previous post and used to start a parallel thread.

this notice is meant only to remind others that this thread has become slow-to-load and approaches the forum's self-imposed length limit (99 posts).

Listen Everybody, Ninety-six, Give Tsuwm Help.

He only needs three more posts to reach ninety-nine then he can officially close this thread.

>he can officially close this thread

you know of course that I can do no such thing. but the software which runs this whole shebang, in its infinite wisdom, has 99 posts as its limit for 1 page. and, as a feature, as these threads age page 2 (and on, we assume) gets lost in the infinitude.

thas all.

Of course I know that tsuwm, but you know me...I like to do everything by the book.

One more post and we can have closure. It is the last one, whomever you may be, so for goodness sake make it good.

Sorry gang, time's up. It's just as well, not in your wildest dreams could you close out
a thread like the late great Sonny Boy Williamson singing "Ninety-nine".
Let's listen...

Well, my Baby taken sick boys, on July twenty-nine
Yes, the one I love she taken sick boys, on July twenty-nine
Her doctor bill was one hundred dollars
And I didn't have but ninety-nine.

ha! you were caught in the ol' 98 replies + the original = 99 trap, milum. so your Sonny Boy post (as well as *this post) is doomed to be lost in the anals* of history.

*cheapest of all word-plays, deserves to be lost for all eternity

There's really nothing magic about 99 or 100 posts. It's just that the most posts you can tell the software to display on one page is 99. After that it goes to Page 2, and then 3 and 4 or however many are necessary, at 99-per-page (or whatever you select in your Preferences). 99 is simply a convenient cutoff point for reasonable speed of loading.

As indicated above - the thread has already been moved over to the PRIZE thread...where it now has 27 entries of its own.

Requiescat in pace this one, yes?

See. I knew that wofahulicodoc and tsuwm wouldn't follow the ninety-nine rule. They are somehow special.
