I might suggest that the Linguistic Society of America and Lake Superior State University use some of the same criteria in choosing their words/phrases.

I think lawn mullet is the most creative phrase, just because it's such a common sight and there really isn't an existing phrase for it.

This morning we heard a market reporter use the phrase "at the end of the day" and that was what he meant.
