I would say touche Pluto, but I don't know how to add an accent.

I could feel the accent, themilum. It only missed me by an inch.

BTW if people continue to take liberties with my handle, I may have to return to my sock puppets. My sock puppets are generally more disrespectful of me than you are, so that would be a defence of last resort.

Is an accent mark needed in the word touchee, Mister Plutarch? As in touchee, touchee, touchee?

No, what is needed in the word "touchee" is a "y", Melt.

If we need an antidote for smilies around here, we must be overdosing on peace and goodwill.

I wish we had a smiley wearing reindeer antlers or a Santa's hat. That would relieve the tedium of good cheer, Wordwind.

I remember a time long ago
When a frown was the sign of a foe
Now times are so sweet
A frown is what greets
A smiley wherever it goes.

It is often said that we humans prefer the spectacle of discord to the spectacle of unrelieved cordiality. [Would anyone pay money to see a "cordiality"? Now a prize fight, or just a good scuffle in the street, that's something else altogether.]

It's a good thing Christmas comes only once a year.
