The latest word from NASA regarding Titan:
http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/cassini/media/cassini-110904.html
"But it looks very much like it's something that oozed across the surface. It may be some sort of cryovolcanic flow, an analog to volcanism on Earth that is not molten rock but, at Titan's very cold temperatures, molten ice."
I think there might be a reason scientists use that term--perhaps to make clear that the water isn't, say, just a flooded river or something; I found this title to an article in Nature magazine: "Molten ice could block Gulf Stream". My guess is that they want a shortcut way of saying, "the temperature rose enough to melt this ice". I tried Onelook, hoping for a science dictionary hit, but no luck. Do we have any geologists handy? stales?
P.S.--Nature wanted me to subscribe in order to read the article (hah--if I won't give the NYT my personal information, why would these people think I'd give them $?!), but I found it here:

It doesn't give any explanation for the term.
I know that glaciers actually flow like very slow lava, actually bending rather than breaking. Maybe that is what they are referring to is not water in it's liquid form.
Interesting that language exceptions are almost always to the most familiar items. "To be" is full of exceptions while "to corruscate" is not. Likewise the most basic substances have exceptions. Water comes as steam, fog, water, ice etc. Gold however comes as gold or molten gold.
No separate terms. We also use dough, bread and toast but raw carrot or cooked carrot.
just a random thought.
The might want to investigate the planet for that dangerous chemical DHMO. It is often found in and near deposits of molten ice. http://www.dhmo.org
...even more dangerous if dehydrated! in part due to its potablity
There is really nothing like dehydrated molten ice.
>in part due to its potablity
And ezsily carried, too.
