so, reading between the lines, this is a simple case of the math function tetration, wherein the operator is two(2): 1^1, 2^2, 3^3, 4^4, 5^5, ad absurdum
[for operator of 3: 1^1^1, 2^2^2, 3^3^3, etc.]
