I hope that the following sketchy information will be enough to elicit some recognition of the series of books in question. When I moved to Providence, RI, USA about 30 years ago, I had lots of time to my self. An acquaintance offered a paperback to read. It was about a Tibetan monk’s adventures with man-flying kites, lost valleys and “extinct” creatures, fighting Communism or some such invaders, levitation, long long runs up and down the Himalayas… Yes I was in something of a fog in those days, but the reading lifted my spirits. There were several books in the series. I know it’s not much to go on, but any feedback would be appreciated. Muddled but merry, O’bow
