A new edition of Wheelock makes sense, TEd. Deus scit, you need all you can get to induce young people to study Latin. I shall to the end of my days consider "Bennett's New Latin Grammar" (new about the turn of the last century) as the ultimate basic Latin textbook, but nothing could be drier or more pedantic. But I haven't heard that there are any plans to make it more interesting.
