I've been waiting for this opportunity for a long time now (having just located the reference):

The next word is OOLLY.

But in recognition of the fact that the last quest is barely concluded I don't encourage submissions until the weekend. (Today being Wednesday.)

The polls are now officially open.

A decent interval has passed since that diaphoresis episode, the weekend is hard upon us...and it's even raining.

But don't sweat the small stuff! Turn your thoughts to OOLLY and send in your best contrivances!

You write 'em in the AM, and send 'em to me in the PM, and I'll keep you posted.

...and it's even raining. Raining, shmaining (hi, Anna!). We have had stunningly gorgeous weather for this time of year. We went to Kentucky Horse Park today and had a fantastic time. I couldn't believe who--or rather, what, I guess--was there. We saw--he LIVES there--one of the ten horses who played Seabiscuit in the movie. He was the one they'd put in the scenes where Seabiscuit passes all the other horses. We got to pat him and everything.

Last Call, sorta

Well, I've got a bunch of good ones, but a few regulars haven't checked in yet...you know who you are!

Send in your clever ones. Confound the masses! Amaze your friends! Take two; they're small!

Polls close tomorrow evening, and I'll post the candidates Monday morning.

All, have a memorable but safe Independence Day holiday !

You should really specify which time zone the evening is to be measured by.

Good point. Okay, then, let's make that 6PM Pacific Daylight Time. (Give or take an hour or two just in case, to allow for thunderstorms and such.)
