Over the past couple of days, another forum I enjoy visiting has been down for scheduled maintenance that has resulted in a definitely unscheduled extension of downtime. Is there a term for the frustrated powerlessness, the sensation of being easily bored, that comes when a favourite site's servers are down? Perhaps there should be a specific coinage for this phenomenon? No bawdy talk, though, please.

I expect coming up with the right term will be easy if you are sufficiently bored.

e-nui.

Very nice, shanks. I like it, and shall use it, since the board that prompted my initial question appear to have gone down again.

As an Arsenal fan, 12,000 miles is about as close I want to come to Manchester, so I'll happily concur with you on that one.

I can understand that. Man City are such a threat to the Gunners, aren't they?

Every time I begin to learn to like you, you go and do something like saying you're an Arsenal fan. Dear oh dear oh dear...

Absolutely. Aren't they the only team Manchester has?

HE-HEM.

I am here you know, lurking, but present, and with a decaying stadium on the end of my street. Just...watch it
