I heard on TV today that Franki Valli is going to do a guest appearance on The Sopranos.

The plot line for this episode revolves around the number of loose women who are attracted to his character. Insiders refer to the episode as "The Dollies of the Valli."

Irregardless of any of the aforementioned, I spent an hour going through the Sopranos site and still can't see any irony in Frankie Valli appearing in the Sopranos. It would be ironic if he really was a member of the Mafia, but.

Pfranz, either you're right once again that USns have no sense of irony or you are not familiar with Frankie's vocal register, one.

I know that he's testically-challenged in the singing department, but he's not a soprano, he's a tenor with a high register. Sorry, didn't make the connection. If you put all that together, well, I guess it's mildly ironic.

There was some scuttlebut at the time of the publishing of The Godfather book that the singer in the book was not Sinatra, as many supposed, but Franki Valli.
Not giving it any credence, just here with my dustpan.

The irony of this post is that is isn't, actually, ironic - although interesting and quirky.

It does, perhaps, sayb something about Franki that seven out of the first ten Google hits on his name are ring-tones

I believe that what you say is somewhat self-evident ....
