Boronia:
(and all the others who sent Jackie and me such kind thoughts)
I'm actually a bit old for big birthday celebrations, and the next zero-year is er um somewhere off in the future.
I spent the day in typical frenetic fashion. Peggy had to go to work early and knew she was going to be late coming home. The kids refused to get up on time, tried to tell me they were going to play on nick.com during breakfast (on MY computer of course, though they each have computers of their own.)
But then they both hugged me and told me they loved me, so it was a good birthday right then.
I baked a cake and the kids and I decorated it while waiting for Peggy to get home, and then I cleaned up the kitchen. Which needed it by that time.
After dinner we all went out and sat in the hot tub and watched for moonrise, which didn't happen because it was cloudy.
All in all a good day. Too bad my stomach woun't let me have a glass of wine on occasions like that. But doctor's appt. today. Maybe we can figure out how to fix it.
Hugs to all
