I was reminded of "pollen" so looked up its etymology:
pollen
SYLLABICATION: pol·len
PRONUNCIATION: pln
NOUN: The fine powderlike material consisting of pollen grains that is produced by the anthers of seed plants.
ETYMOLOGY: Latin, fine flour.
So how is "fine flour" related to "power"?
