I was searching for accusative of "equus" and found a site
with very short stories in Latin, which can be immediately
translated when you desire.

Well, it's always dangerous doing this, and I'm sure there's a comparable Roman saying for ours that may not even involve dead horses, but here's one way:

equum defunctum verberare
