caused by poliomyelitis.
Dr Bill, do you use the modern /'flasId/ pronunciation or the older /'flaksId/ one.
I was taught "flaksid".
I learned it as "flass-id," in the phrase "flaccid paralysis." Not a very pleasant image and therefore impossible to forget.
